The fifth man charged in the killingof a 12-year-old girl outside a Providence graduation party last summer hasbeen arraigned and ordered held without bail.
The Rhode Island attorney general said18-year-old Luis "Didi" Gonzalez was arraigned Wednesday in districtcourt for his alleged role in the June shooting that killed Aynis Vargas andinjured three women.
Gonzalez was a juvenile when theshooting took place and has been waived out of family court to be tried as anadult. Authorities say he faces charges of murder, conspiracy, assault with adangerous weapon and discharging a firearm while committing a crime ofviolence.
Four others have been charged in thecase. Twenty-one-year-old Ricardo Vasquez pleaded guilty last month and wassentenced to life in prison.
