7 arrested in Central Falls prostitution sting

Police in Central Falls arrested seven males during an undercover prostitution sting on Friday that targeted several neighborhoods throughout the city.

The undercover operation involved two female officers from outside agencies posing as local prostitutes, who were positioned in the high traffic areas of the neighborhoods.

During the approximate four hours that the operation lasted there was a total of seven arrests, all of whom were male and were charged with soliciting from a motor vehicle for indecent purposes. Those seven individuals have been identified as Marino Palecia, 33, of Lincoln, Ramiro Martins, 57, of Cumberland, Raul DelRosario, 57, of Providence, Bartolome Gonzalez, 31, of Central Falls, and Kevin Cole, 40, Joao Andrade, 40, and Buba Darbo, 37, all of Pawtucket.

All seven of the men were arraigned late Friday night and are due back in court on October 2.
