Fatal accident in Burrillville; 1 person is killed 4 others injured
BURRILLVILLE, R.I. —
A deadly crash in Burrillville on Friday night leaves one woman dead and four others injured.
The crash happened just before 6pm Friday on Route 102 in Burrillville just one mile north of East Avenue, when a sedan was struck by a pickup truck while attempting to make an abrupt left U-turn from the low speed lane.
The driver of the 2012 Kia Optima sedan, a 37 year old woman from Providence whose name has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene. Traveling with her were her two daughters, ages 18 and 13 who were transported to Rhode Island Hospital and Hasbro Children's Hospital from the scene. According to police their injuries were serious but non -life threatening as of Friday night.
According to police the driver of the 2012 Chevy Silverado pickup truck, Erik Myette , 33, was also injured in the accident as was his one year old son. Both father and son were transported from the scene to Landmark Medical Center where they were treated for minor injuries and later released.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation by Burrillville Police and Burrillville Police Department's Accident Reconstruction Team.

One woman is dead and four others are injured in a crash that happened Friday night on Route 102 in Burrillville.
According to police the accident involved two vehicles, both of which were traveling in the same direction in the southbound lane. Three of the other four occupants in the car were taken to the hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. The fourth occupant, a baby, was taken to the hospital just for observation.
Then name of victim and the other occupants of the vehicle are not yet released due to pending family notifications. There is also no word yet on what could have caused the crash.

At least one person was transported to a hospital Friday following a serious accident in Burrillville.
The accident happened at 6 p.m. Police said a pickup truck and another vehicle were involved.
Police said Route 102 at Bronco Crossing remains closed.
No further details were made available.
