A Rhode Island man on Monday was awarded a number of medals he earned for his service in World War II.
Anthony D'Abrosca served in the U.S. Army's 38th Infantry Division.
He earned but didn't receive the American Defense Service Medal, the American Campaign Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal, along with other awards.
U.S. Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse awarded the medals to D'Abrosca at Coventry Town Hall.
D'Abrosca enlisted right after his 18th birthday, four months shy of graduating from then-Lockwood High School in Warwick.
