An Attleboro man was charged with possession of child pornography, the U.S. attorney for Massachusetts said Monday.
Prosecutors said Michael Paterson, 53, is the office manager of a sober house in Attleboro. He is being held until a hearing Friday in Worcester.
The U.S. attorney said a resident of the sober house saw Paterson looking at child pornography on two occasions.
Prosecutors said a search of the house turned up computers, hard drives, thumb drives, CDs, DVDs and printers containing images of children being sexually exploited. Investigators also seized a stun gun and about $70,000.
More images and $1,500 were found in Paterson's car, prosecutors said.
