6 2 day old bagels
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon salt
1/2 teaspoon sugar
Method of Preparation:
1.Carefully slice the bagels across into 1/8-inch thick pieces
2.Place the sliced bagels in a large bowl and add the olive oil and butter and toss to coat well.
3.Add the pepper, salt and sugar and toss evenly to coat.
4.Place on a sheet pan in a single layer and bake in a 350 degree oven until lightly browned. Let cool.
