Bail significantly reduced for Mass. registered sex offender

A Worcester Superior Court Judge this week reduced bail for a registered sex offender and Uxbridge resident, who had been arrested on new child abuse charges last month.Daniel Snay, 62,was being held on $5 million bail. That was cut to $50,000 at a bail hearing Tuesday.Snay was arrested for allegedly molesting a boy over a four-year period.According to the Woonsocket Call, Uxbridge police added additional charges against Snay.{} They include indecent assault and battery on a child under the age of 14, reckless endangerment of a child, enticement of a child and dissemination of pornography.Snay is registered as a Level 3 sex offender in Massachusetts.Judge James Lemire{} ordered Snay to wear a GPS monitoring device, and stay away from all children under the age of 16. Snay won $10 million in a "Billion Dollar Blockbuster" scratch ticket from the Massachusetts Lottery in 2008.
