BCC officers will soon be armed

Campus police officers at Bristol Community College in Fall River will soon be armed.
On Friday, the officers were led through a simulation, using bullet-proof vests and "blueguns", which simulate real firearms.
The active shooter drill was part of the training to prepare the officers in the event of a crisis on campus.
The six officers all have licenses to carry firearms and are undergoing shooting and safety training.
The Bristol Community College Board of Trustees approved arming officers at a meeting in December.
