Two Burrillville parents face social host charges after police said they hosted a post-prom drinking party for their daughter and her friends.Brian Cardon, 49, and Linda Cardon, 48, were charged with purchasing or procurement of alcohol for minors. They were arraigned before a bail commissioner and released on $1,000 personal recognizance. The couple is scheduled to appear in Providence District Court on June 10.Police said the Cardons hosted the party at their Joslin Road home Friday night for their 17-year-old daughter and fellow Mount St. Charles Academy students.Police said they got an anonymous tip to check out the home. Officers stopped by at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday."(Police) stated there were probably 50 to 60 individuals on the property. (Police) tried to gather the people together. Many people yelled, 'Cops' and took off into the woods," said Maj. Lareto Guglietta of the Burrillville Police Department.Police said they immediately noticed a strong smell of marijuana when they arrived. Police said they found alcohol in outdoor tents and inside the home, and one tent had a beer pong tournament table set up.Police said three girls at the party were rushed to Landmark Hospital. According to police, a 17-year-old girl passed out in her own vomit, an 18-year-old woman was unconscious and another 17-year-old girl had to be carried out of the woods because she was so drunk she couldn't walk or answer simple questions.Police said they detained more than 40 people, including the homeowners. Brian Cardon told police that he didn't know underage drinking was taking place."I find that difficult to believe," Guglietta said. "The arrests were made and they'll have to tell that to the judge."Police said many parents who were called to pick up their children were livid.
