State police say a Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority bus that crashed through a guardrail and was hanging over the Massachusetts Pike has been towed.
The bus was removed from its perch over the Pike in Newton late Sunday morning, several hours after the crash.
MBTA spokeswoman Kelly Smith says seven passengers and the bus operator were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
State police had said the bus was never in danger of falling onto the Pike.
Transit police detective are investigating the cause of the crash.
