Men killed in Central Falls identified
CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. —
Central Falls police have identified the two homicide victims whose bodies were discovered in a residence after authorities were notified of a foul smell.
Police said the victims were 21-year-old Malcolm Townes and 22-year-old Nathan Lewis. Authorities found them on July 3 in a third-floor apartment on Sylvian Street. The men were believed to have been dead for some time.
Lt. Dorian Rave said Lewis lived in the apartment and that Townes was staying with him.
Authorities said the deaths have been ruled homicides but, the state medical examiner's office has not said how the men died.
City police are working with Rhode Island State Police on the investigation. They say they are pursuing several active leads.
