City looking to build new pavilion

The City of Pawtucket is looking for input from the public about construction of a new pavilion at Slater Park.

After the former recreation offices and storage areas were destroyed in a fire on December 30, Project Renew was established to collect donations to replace objects lost in the incident.

A meeting to discuss plans for the city capital project will be held on Wednesday, April 2 at the downtown Visitor Center at 175 Maine Street at 7 p.m.

The new pavilion would allow summer camp activities to continue even in inclement weather and also provide shelter for summer concerts.
