Cleaning company co-owners accused of stealing from homes
MIDDLETOWN, R.I. —
The co-owners of a cleaning company face charges after Middletown police said they stole items from homes they were working in
Jacqueline Maloney and Kortnie Vickery, both 26 and from Fall River, were arrested and charged with larceny over $1,500.
Police said Vickery and Maloney are the owners of A Magic Touch. Police said they stole an assortment of jewelry from the homes they were hired to clean.
Investigators found the suspects pawned the stolen jewelry for cash at several area pawn and jewelry shops throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
Middletown police detectives said there were similar thefts in Newport.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and there may be additional victims in the Aquidneck Island area. Anyone who has hired A Magic Touch and has discovered items missing from their homes should notify their local police department.
