Commission meets on options for vacant 195 land

Options include a park and outdoor performance space.

Land that was left vacant after a stretch of Interstate 195 was torn down is now up for re-development.

On Wednesday night the commission in charge of that land met to talk about plans for two parks and a pedestrian bridge.

They are working with the Department of Transportation and designers to talk about their priorities for the parks.

The plans could also include an outdoor performance space.

The executive director of the commission says this could be an economic boost for the city. There will be another meeting at the end of the month.
