Convicted sex offender accused of threatening probation officer
ATTLEBORO, Mass. —
A convicted sex offender was sent to prison Friday after being accused of threatening his probation officer.
Leon Rivard, 58, of Attleboro, pleaded not guilty in Attleboro District Court and ordered held without bail.
Police said the officer went to Rivard's home to discuss his compliance with his probation conditions. Police said Rivard became angry after hearing that he had to undergo counseling.
Rivard was on probation after he was convicted last year of indecently touching a 10-year-old boy.
