Cruiser involved in Raynham accident

Three people, including a{} Massachusetts State Police officer, were injured{}in a multi-vehicle accident early Sunday morning.

State police tell NBC 10 news three vehicles were involved in{}the crash, which happened on Route 495 Northbound, near Route 24, in Raynham, just after midnight.

A spokesman said a trooper had pulled a car over in the breakdown lane, when his cruiser was hit by an oncoming car.{} The force of the crash pushed the cruiser into the car that had been pulled over.

The trooper, identified only as a sergeant, was treated and released at Good Samaritan Hospital.

The driver accused of hitting the cruiser, was taken to Rhode Island Hospital, with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The third driver also suffered minor injuries and was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital.
