PAWTUCKET, R.I. —
Pawtucket Police are investigating after one person was injured in a drive by shooting early Saturday afternoon.
Police responded to 166 Meadow St. for a man shot just after 1 p.m. Saturday afternoon. The 28 year old man whose identity has not yet been released was struck once in the leg by a bullet, and was transported to Rhode Island Hospital with non life threatening injuries.
According to police a vehicle with four people inside it fired 4 to 5 gun shots at the victim, and one of those shots struck him in the right leg.
This is still an active investigation but police do not believe that this crime is random, and that the victim looks to have been the intended target.
