Woman critically injured in Hopkinton crash
A 24-year-old Connecticut woman was critically injured early Tuesday when she was thrown from her SUV and became pinned under it.
State police said the crash happened at about 1 a.m. on Interstate 95 south in Hopkinton.
Investigators said Amy Sherman of Pawcatuck was speeding and lost control of her Lincoln Navigator. The SUV struck the center barrier and rolled over onto the passenger side, pinning Sherman under it.
Sherman was flown by helicopter to Rhode Island Hospital, where she was in critical condition.
The woman was on the only person in the SUV and no other cars were involved.
