East Providence school to get makeover
EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. —
An elementary school in East Providence is getting a makeover.
Dozens of people are working to transform two current classrooms at the James R.D. Oldham Elementary School into a multipurpose room for assemblies, physical education and dining.
They're also planning to concert a classroom into a library, and install new playground equipment and landscaping.
Funding for the project, which exceeded $108,000, came from donations and a federal grant.
