Eight people displaced in Fall River fire

An early-morning fire in Fall River on Friday has left three families temporarily homeless.

No one was injured.

Crews were called to the fire at a three-story apartment building on Tecumseh Street at about 12:10 a.m.

Witnesses said the fire at one point spread to all three floors.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.

The local chapter of the American Red Cross is providing shelter for three children, five adults and four pets.
