Firefighter gets probation after Westerly party
A Misquamicut firefighter now faces charges after some middle school students drank alcohol at his daughter's birthday party.
Volunteer firefighter Brian Holdredge was given 6 months probation for procuring alcohol for a minor.
Holdredge was originally charged with violating the "social host" law, after serving alcohol at a birthday party, attended by junior high students.
The Westerly man admitted to using poor judgment. The Westerly Sun reports the charge can be expunged from his record in five years, provided he stays out of trouble.
