Fundraiser started for Providence handicapped child's stolen tricycle
By Matthew White
PROVIDENCE — An update you'll hear about first on NBC 10 on a story we've been working on since last week. As the stolen tricycle for the Providence handicapped child has gone un recovered, friends, family and good Samaritans have started an online campaign to help purchase a new tricycle for 17 year old Wayne Thompson. The online fundraiser, just started on Saturday has already generated over $600.00, but still keeps the family far away from the $8,000.00 they need to purchase this special tricycle for Wayne.See "Associated Links" the the immediate right, below Wayne's photo, to see NBC 10 Susie Steimle's interview with Wayne and his family, and also for a link to the online fundraiser if you are interested in contributing.
