Grand jury indicts driver with 8th drunken driving charge
REHOBOTH, Mass. —
A Bristol County grand jury indicted an Easton man on his eighth charge of drunken driving.
Prosecutors said David Frates was indicted Thursday in Fall River Superior Court on charges of operating under the influence of alcohol eighth offense and operating a motor vehicle with a license suspended for OUI.
Frates, 46, was arrested by Rehoboth police at about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. Investigators said he had an open container of alcohol in his car.
He was ordered held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing.
An arraignment date on the indictment has not yet been set.
