      Gyro Burgers with Tahini Sauce

      Serves 4

      Ingredients:

      1 pound lean ground beef

      1 teaspoon Greek seasoning

      2 pita rounds

      1 tomato, sliced

      1 red onion, thinly sliced

      1/4 cup feta cheese

      For the tahini sauce:

      1/4 cup tahini paste

      1/4 cup water

      2 tablespoons lemon juice

      1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

      1/4 teaspoon salt

      Method of Preparation:

      1.For the tahini sauce: combine all ingredients. Set aside.

      2.Combine beef and seasonings. Shape into 4 patties. Grill over medium high heat for 5 minutes on each side or until the beef reaches 165 degrees.

      3.Cut off 2 inches of bread from one side of each pita round. Fill each with tomato, red onion, feta, burger, and 2 tablespoons tahini sauce.
