I-Team: Male stripper charged with rape
CRANSTON, R.I. —
A Providence man has been indicted on two counts of rape.
Investigators said 31-year-old Patrick Ladapo, a male stripper, locked twovictims in a bedroom during a private party in Wareham, Mass. in August,telling each of them they'd won private lap dances. Then he allegedly blockedthe door with a chair and raped them.
The NBC 10 I-Team uncovered another alleged attack in Providence one dayearlier.
A woman told NBC 10 that Ladapo grabbed her daughter and put her in aheadlock, refusing to let her go. He's been charged with simple assault.
"He steps in front of her. He touched her. He put his arm around herneck and made her feel like she lost the power that she had. He made her feelafraid," the woman told NBC 10 on Aug. 30.
The I-Team has also reported that while Ladapo was a medical student atBrown University in 2008, another woman accused him of sexual assault, butnever filed charges.
Ladapo never finished medical school at Brown, although the university won'tsay whether he dropped out or was forced to leave.
