I-Team: Suspects' BMW seen in Providence parking lot
A black BMW driven by two friends of one of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects was frequently seen in the same Providence parking lot with the Honda Civic that was driven by the Tsarnaev brothers.
Charles Tapalian, the owner of a parking lot next to Throop Alley off of North Main Street, told the I-Team that his parking attendants confirmed seeing a black BMW with the front vanity plate "Terrorista #1," Spanish for "terrorist."
Azamat Tazhayahkov and Dias Kadyrbayev jointly owned the car, according to Kadyrbayev's father, who called the plate a joke between friends.
Tapalian told the I-Team that the Tsarnaevs' Honda was also in the lot and that one or both of the bombing suspects visited the State Ultra Lounge.
Tapalian also confirmed the drivers of the BMW were also frequently at the club. He called the FBI and turned over a photo to federal investigation.
The two Kazahk men, along with Robel Phillipos, of Cambridge, Mass., were arrested and charged with allegedly helping Dzhokhar Tsarnaev remove evidence after the bombings, including a backpack, fireworks, and a laptop. CNN has reported that officials found the laptop.
All three men went to school with Dzhokhar Tsarnaev at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.
CNN has also reported that Tamerlan Tsarnaev's widow, Katherine Russell, spoke to her husband after she saw his picture on TV. The details of that conversation are not known.
