John Loughlin says he won't challenge Cicilline in 2014

Decision 2014

Republican John Loughlin said Friday that he won't run for Congress this year, just a few days after he floated the idea.

Loughlin told WPRO radio that he doesn't have enough time to build support and raise the money necessary to run against incumbent Democrat David Cicilline.

He told Dan Yorke that he believes the race is not winnable.

Loughlin ran against Cicilline in 2010 and garnered about 44 percent of the vote.
