17-year-old ordered held after attacking father
LITTLE COMPTON, R.I. —
A 17-year-old boy was ordered held at the Training School after Little Compton police said he attacked his 50-year-old father with a knife.
The 17-year-old was arraigned in Providence Family Court on a charge of assault and battery with the intent to commit murder.
Police responded to a 911 call at 1:30 a.m. Saturday and found a man severely bleeding from a stab wound to his neck. They also noticed wounds to his head.
The victim was taken to Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River and later transferred to Rhode Island Hospital. His condition was not immediately known.
