Male dancer charged with assaulting women in Mass.
WAREHAM, Mass. —
A male exotic dancer hired for a private event at a Wareham home was charged Thursday with sexually assaulting two women at the party.
Patrick Ladapo, 31, of Providence was arraigned in Wareham District Court. A judge set bail at $20,000 cash.
Ladapo, performing under the stage name Damion, was arrested Wednesday and held overnight.
Police said the alleged assaults took place during his performance Tuesday night.
The alleged victims, two women, ages 21 and 27, told police Ladapo offered them private lap dances in a bedroom, then blocked the door with a chair.
The prosecutor also told the judge Ladapo was a suspect in a 2008 rape near Brown University.
Ladapo lives in Providence and works throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts. He's employed by Blaze Entertainment in Boston.
The company's owner told NBC 10 that he was shocked to hear about the allegations and that his company is cooperating with police.
The company's owner said Ladapo had booked jobs through Blaze for about five years with no complaints from customers.
