Man accused of cheating at black jack table
A North Attleborough man is accused of cheating at Twin River Casino in Lincoln.
Jamil Taban was charged Thursday with placing or increasing a wager with knowledge of the outcome of a table game. Taban was released on personal recognizance and permanently banned from Twin River.
State police said Taban, 24, was caught on a surveillance camera placing a "past post" bet at a black jack table. A "past post" bet is a wager made after betting is closed. Investigators said Taban's illegal bet would have resulted in an extra $1,400 payout.
Taban is scheduled to appear in Providence District Court on Nov. 21.
