Man accused of firing gun at Warwick motel
WARWICK, R.I. —
Warwick police said Monday that a man is accused of firing a gun during a domestic dispute at a motel.
The man surrendered about an hour and a half after police were called to the Motel 6 on Jefferson Boulevard at about 2 p.m. Investigators were still determining charges Monday evening.
Police told NBC 10 News that the man fired the gun outside of the hotel apparently as a way to gain attention. They said he did not fire at anyone.
Police said the man's wife was not hurt. Investigators did not immediately release the couple's names.
Hotel guests were not allowed into the building during the standoff.
