Man indicted on murder charge after siblings shot
A Providence man has been charged with murder in connection with a shooting that killed a 20-year-old and injured his 15-year-old sister.
The Rhode Island attorney general's office said a grand jury on Monday indicted 18-year-old Joseph Taylor on a murder charge in the fatal shooting in May of Davon Taylor.
Joseph Taylor also was indicted on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon, carrying a firearm without a license and other gun violations.
Authorities say Joseph Taylor shot a 9-milimeter pistol into a vehicle in which Davon Taylor and his sister Destiny were sitting.
Joseph Taylor, who isn't related to Davon and Destiny, is being held without bail. He's scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on Sept. 3.
