Man sentenced to life in New Bedford murder
A New Bedford man was convicted Wednesday in the shooting death of another man.
Fagbemi Miranda, 36, was found guilty of first-degree murder in the killing of 25-year-old Christopher Barros on Oct. 10, 2005. Miranda was sentenced to life in prison with no parole.
Prosecutors said Miranda shot Barros twice in the back yard of 444 Purchase St.
Miranda's younger brother, Wayne Miranda, was convicted of second-degree murder in Barros' death in 2008.
