      Man sought in Seekonk bank robbery

      Surveillance video shows a man wanted in the robbery of a Webster Bank in Seekonk, Thursday, March 27, 2014.

      Seekonk police are looking for a man who robbed a Webster Bank branch Thursday morning.

      The robbery happened at about 9:10 a.m. at the branch at 1519 Newman Ave. Police said the man handed a note to a teller and did not show any weapon.

      Police said the robber ran out of the bank and got into a white pickup truck.

      Police described the robber as a white man, 20 to 30 years old, about 5 feet 11 inches tall. He has a medium build, weighs 180 to 200 pounds, with brown hair and an unshaven face.

      The man was wearing a dark knit hat under a gray hooded sweatshirt and medium-colored pants. He was also wearing gold-rimmed sunglasses.

      Seekonk police asked anyone who witnessed the robbery or recognizes the man in surveillance photos to call detectives at 508-336-7027.
