Mass. police continue search for Brown student
FAIRHAVEN, Mass. —
Police in Massachusetts say they're continuing to search for a Brown University student who went missing last Tuesday.
Twenty-one-year-old Dana Dourdeville of Marion, Mass., failed to return from a duck hunting trip in Fairhaven on Tuesday. His mother found his car parked at West Island State Beach in Fairhaven, and the U.S. Coast Guard found his kayak about 2 1/2 miles east of West Island.
Authorities searched by land, sea and air last week and used thermal imaging and night vision devices but couldn't find Dourdeville. The search was suspended Thursday because of a winter storm.
Fairhaven police said Sunday that local officers are continuing to search the town shoreline by foot and a meeting is scheduled this week with a police diving team to discuss more search options.
