Middle school students sound off on budget cuts
RICHMOND, R.I. —
A group of middle school students in the Chariho School District had a chance to express their concerns Tuesday night against proposed staff cuts.
The same group of students was not allowed to talk at the meeting last week.
The latest budget proposal includes eliminating four full-time jobs, and several part time positions.
A group of students says they've looked at the numbers and they're not happy. The proposed new budget would bring the district back into the black which some parents and students are opposing.
