NBC 10 I-Team reporter Parker Gavigan broke the story of questionable multi-year concession stand contracts at three Rhode Island state beaches involving a state senator and the chairman of Rhode Island's Democratic Party. Citing time constraints, the party chair resigned a day after the I-Team report aired and a state police investigation is ongoing. The I-Team's Katie Davis exposed decades-old employment documents, which included names and social security numbers, at the site of a former Hope Valley amusement park.
