Neighbors alert residents to fire in Fall River

Fire investigators in Fall River are trying to figure out the cause of a fire Tuesday night.

It happened just after 11 p.m. at a three-story apartment building on Choate Street.

The fire chief told NBC 10 the fire started on a second floor porch and they were able to keep it from spreading to the third floor.

Everyone was able to get out safely thanks to the help of some neighbors.

Fire officials have already ruled out an electrical cause.

One woman was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
