New Bedford accepting applications for summer programs

Applications are now being accepted for the City of New Bedford's Kennedy Summer Day Programs.

The summer programs offer children a chance to take part in sports, games, crafts and outdoor events.

There's also beach and swim time, field trips and visits from local organizations. {}{}{}

The Kennedy Summer Day Program is based at Fort Taber Park, and includes breakfast, lunch and transportation.

Kids from kindergarten through age 14 are allowed to applied.

Fees are $135 for New Bedford residents, and $155 for non-residents, if space allows.

The following sessions are available: {}{}{} {}{}{} * Session 1: June 30 - July 11

{}{}{} * Session 2: July 14 - July 25

{}{}{} * Session 3: July 28 - August 8

{} {} * Session 4: August 11 - August 22

Registration information is available at the Administrative Offices of Parks Recreation & Beaches, or at the Andrea McCoy Recreation Center located at 181 Hillman St.
