New Bedford woman faces charges in connection with dead baby
NEW BEDFORD, Mass. —
The mother of a newborn baby found dead outside a home in New Bedford in April faces charges.
The Bristol County District Attorney's Office said 22-year-old Tamlyn Gonzalez, of New Bedford, is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in District Court on charges of obstruction of justice.
On April 11, police received a 911 call from a resident who discovered the remains of a dead baby outside a three-story home at 1065 County St.
Police and rescue personnel rushed to the scene and upon discovery of the baby, contacted the district attorney's office and state police detectives to investigate.
