A North Attleborough man charged with his fourth drunken driving offense was taken into custody Monday.
Prosecutors are seeking a dangerousness hearing for Kenneth Atkins. They want him held for up to 90 days while they prepare for trial.
Atkins, 52, was arrested Friday night after he crashed into a curb near his home. Police said they found him asleep at the wheel with a beer can in his hand.
Atkins pleaded not guilty to charges of drunken driving, driving to endanger, driving with an open container of alcohol and driving with a suspended license.
He was initially freed on $2,500 cash bail.
