Officers converge on New Bedford apartment complex
NEW BEDFORD, Mass. —
New Bedford police said three people were taken into custody for questioning at a housing complex where the younger marathon bombing suspect may have lived.
Lt. Robert Richard said a private complex of off-campus housing at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth was searched by federal authorities Friday evening. Richard said the FBI took two men and one woman into custody for questioning.
He said 19-year-old suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev may have resided at or was affiliated with the housing complex. He is registered at the school.
Authorities said Tsarnaev was captured alive after a manhunt Friday that paralyzed the Boston area.
