Officer's gun stolen, juvenile in custody

East Providence Police Chief Joseph Tavares confirmed Monday to NBC 10 that a juvenile has been arrested in connection with a gun stolen from an officer's home.

According to Tavares the gun was reported missing last Wednesday. The officer involved has not been named nor has the juvenile arrested in connection with the case.

The handgun has not been recovered and police say this is still an active investigation and they are continuing to look for other parties involved.
