Police in Cranston are investigating a brazen theft.
Less than 24 hours after street signs honoring Cranston native and current Miss Universe Oliva Culpo were unveiled, all three signs have been stolen.
Cranston officials confirmed that the signs were taken sometime Saturday night into Sunday morning.
On Saturday, dozens were on hand as Albert Ave. in the Edgewood section of Cranston was dedicated to Culpo.
City officials tell NBC 10 News that the signs cost the city about 70 dollars apiece to make.
They say the city will replace the signs and are looking into alternative ways to secure them in the future.
The search is still on for suspects.
