      Pawtucket gets some new officers

      The three newest members of the Pawtucket Police Department were sworn in Friday at City Hall after graduating from the Rhode Island Municipal Police Training Academy.

      The Pawtucket Police Department added three new officers last week.

      Ethan Barrett, 33 of Cranston, Julianne Borsi, 28 of Bridgewater, and Tyler Shea, 27 of Warwick, recently graduated from the Rhode Island Municipal Police Training Academy on Friday morning and were then sworn in as members of the Pawtucket PD on Friday afternoon.

      Barrett holds a bachelor's degree in public management from the University of Maine and is pursuing a master's degree in public administration at Roger Williams University.

      Borsi has an associate's degree in criminal justice from Bristol Community College and is enrolled in a bachelor's program at Bridgewater State University.

      Shea served in the U.S. Navy for seven years and is studying for an associate's degree in criminal justice at CCRI.
