Pawtucket man charged with domestic murder
A grand jury indicted a Pawtucket man Thursday on one count of domestic murder in the killing of his ex-wife.
Christopher James, 47, is accused of stabbing and killing Terry Chiodo on a RIPTA bus in Portsmouth in February.
Police said witnesses told them Chiodo boarded the Route 60 bus at Bristol Ferry Road at about 6:15 a.m. They said she was afraid when she saw James, and he stabbed her before trying to flee.
James has been held without bail since his arrest.
He's scheduled to be arraigned in Washington County Superior Court on July 22.
