Cranston police are investigating another pedestrian accident in Rhode Island.
Police said a pedestrian walking westbound across Narragansett Boulevard was struck by a car heading south near the intersection of Aurora Avenue at about 8 p.m. Tuesday.
The pedestrian, whose name was not immediately released, was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries.
So far no charges have been filed, but the accident remains under investigation.
This is the latest in a number of pedestrian accidents in Rhode Island.
On Sunday morning, a man died after he was hit walking on Interstate 195 near exit 4. On Tuesday morning, a man was killed after he tried to cross Interstate 95 in Providence near exit 25.
No charges will be filed in those cases.
