P.F. Chang's investigates alleged data breach

P.F. Chang's is trying to determine whether thousands of credit and debit card numbers were stolen from its restaurants nationwide.

A representative for P.F. Chang's would not confirm a breach, only that the company is investigating the situation. The alleged breach happened between March and May 19.

Security researcher Brian Krebs said banks first noticed a problem when stolen information reportedly appeared on the same online black market where millions of stolen Target card numbers were sold last year.

The restaurant chain has more than 200 locations across the country, including one at Providence Place.
