Police charge third man in Pawtucket killing
PAWTUCKET, R.I. —
Authorities have arrested a third man in connection with a Christmas Eve killing in Pawtucket.
Police said 21-year-old Tyron Wilcox was arraigned Friday in Providence District Court and charged with murder and conspiracy. He was ordered held without bail.
Authorities said 20-year-old Daquan Watts shot 21-year-old Ryan Almeida in the stomach outside at an apartment complex in Pawtucket.
Almeida was lying on his mother's doorstep on the morning of Dec. 24. He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities tracked down Watts in Lewiston, Maine on Wednesday and took him back to Rhode Island. He's charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy.
Police said a 17-year-old boy also faces charges in connection with the killing. He was arrested on April 4 and charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy.
