A roving crowd of hundreds of students celebrated the Red Sox World Series victory on the campus of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth late Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
There did not appear to any major problems with students getting out of control.
A large contingent of police officers followed the movements of the crowd and broke up some gatherings before they became large.
UMass officials told NBC 10 earlier Wednesday that they were bringing in extra campus officers, plus local and state police.
The school also sent students numerous email and social media messages about celebrating responsibly.
